The Neo Tokyo collection draws its inspiration from the dark and iconic post-apocalyptic imagery of the anime “Akira” by Katsuhiro Otomo. The smaller design elements on the sleeves and shorts pay homage to the character Tetsuo’s robotic arm in the series.

The choice of colours, design elements, and typography was made to recreate the unique nostalgia of Neo Tokyo style, which depicts a dark fictional futuristic Tokyo lit by bright neon signs.
